A List of To-Dos

Oh gosh.
Life is definitely a test.
A test of wits, determination, and courage.
My parents tell me: "You can't live a life without money. And where do you get that money? You work. And how do you get that job? By staying in school, and doing well."
They repeat it everyday, 24/7.
That puts a lot of pressure on me because they expect me to do well.
But what if I don't?
Then I will discourage them, and they will label me weak and useless.
Then I won't be a perfect picture they can brag about to their friends.
Aside from that burden, I also have others.
Three projects are coming up; one for social studies, one for writing class, and one for math class.
I also have three tests in June.
But I promise I will do well on these projects, and receive high marks on my tests.
Because then, my parents will be glad.
My teachers will be glad.
I will be glad.
We'd all be glad.

BUT

I do it mostly for my future.
And you should do things for your future too.
Don't do things to make others happy.
Do things that will make YOU happy.
Do things that will paint a better path for you.
Oh great.
Now I sound like Uncle Sam; "We want YOU for U.S. army."

Thanks for listening to me and my complaints.
I'm terribly sorry if I gave you a headache.
